Intelligent intensity - be fitter, feel stronger and healthier

The aim of my intelligent intensity session is to build fitness, strength and endurance without over-stressing your body, and ensuring you meet your training goals. Sessions can include a range of training techniques that suit your needs, whatever your physical fitness ability or whatever your aims are.

I believe in high intensity training techniques such as Tabata training (the Japanese theory of anaerobic exercise with short recovery sessions to build strength and cardiovascular fitness) and specially tailored circuit sessions (that may include jumping jacks, squat thrusts, squats, lunges, press ups, burpees etc). My exercise sessions will also incorporate elements of Pilates to strengthen core muscles and enable, with time, a greater capability to increase the intensity of workouts.

All of the exercises and techniques outlined can, and will, help you to improve your lifestyle and feel more confident about your body and, more importantly, yourself.

Running a marathon, training for triathlons or pre-season fitness?

specialize in designing training programmes to help people achieve their desired time or simply finish the race. In addition I teach circuit training, TRX, boxing, high-intensity workouts and strength training – all perfect preparation for most pre-season sports training whether it’s rugby, football, hockey or netball, and irrespective of whether you’re a man or woman. In fact I really enjoy the challenge and variability of developing training programmes to meet individual needs.

Essential information

All sessions are 60 minutes and can be tailored to beginners, those of intermediate ability or people with advanced knowledge and experience of fitness training. I train all ages from teenagers upwards and happily work with men and women, partners/couples, and people requiring rehabilitation after injury or even serious illness.
